Geog 9010: Using GPS for GIS (2 days, 1.6 CEU)

This class explores methods for incorporating field research data in a GIS project. Topics include field data collection with GPS; data preprocessing; conversion methods for use with ArcGIS. GPS applications in natural and cultural resource inventories, transportation analyses, ecological studies, and atmospheric and hydrologic process studies are discussed. Dress appropriately for outdoor weather.
